In a notable Mumbai real estate transaction, Arpita Khan Sharma, sister of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has sold her luxurious apartment in the prime Khar West locality for ₹22 crore, according to reports from Hindustan Times.
Arpita initially purchased the high-end property in 2017 for ₹18 crore. The apartment, located in the prestigious Flying Carpet building developed by Satguru Developers, spans an impressive 2,500 square feet and includes a spacious 1,600 square feet terrace. A rare feature for Mumbai, the apartment also comes with nine car parking spaces, adding to its premium appeal. The buyer of this prime property is Shivaya Cinewise Private Limited.
The transaction was officially registered on October 10, 2024, with a stamp duty payment of ₹1.32 crore and ₹30,000 for registration charges.
The Flying Carpet building, situated in Khar West, is known for its proximity to Bollywood hotspots such as Carter Road, Bandra Bandstand, and Pali Hill, home to several celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor. Apartments in the building, offering 3 and 4 BHK configurations, are priced between ₹60,000 and ₹70,000 per square foot, according to local brokers.
This is not Arpita's first property transaction in the building. In February 2022, she purchased another apartment in Flying Carpet, measuring 1,750 square feet, for ₹10 crore, further establishing her ties to this luxurious Mumbai address.
